GUATEMALA

Dear Family and Friends,

I’m reaching out today with an exciting and heartfelt opportunity that I want to invite you to be a part of. From June 22nd to 28th, 2025, God willing, I will be traveling to Guatemala with a team from Oakhouse Church to share the love of Jesus Christ and serve those in need. This mission trip is more than just an adventure; it's a chance to live out the call to love our neighbors, to bring hope to the hopeless, and to make a tangible difference in the lives of people who need it most.

Guatemala, while rich in culture and history, also faces many challenges: poverty, lack of access to education, and insufficient healthcare. Many communities live in conditions where basic needs, such as clean water, proper nutrition, and medical care, are not readily available. As followers of Christ, we are called to be His hands and feet in the world, showing His love through action, kindness, and service.

Jesus’ ministry was one of service and compassion. In Matthew 25:35-40, He tells us that when we serve those who are hungry, thirsty, strangers, naked, sick, or imprisoned, we are serving Him. Our mission trip is an opportunity to live out this calling, to embody the love and compassion that Jesus demonstrated during His time on earth.

When Jesus healed the sick, fed the hungry, and gave sight to the blind, He was showing us how to care for the least of these in our world. His actions were a reflection of God’s kingdom, and that is what we are bringing to Guatemala: a glimpse of God’s love, mercy, and hope.
