GUATEMALA

Dear Family and Friends,

We are excited to tell you about Oakhouse Church's upcoming mission trip to Guatemala. We will join eight other Oakhouse members in late June for one week, traveling to central Guatemala. Oakhouse has partnered with Food for the Hungry to assist and serve some of the country's most vulnerable people.

This is a great opportunity to explore our church's global partnership in Guatemala and continue building on our relationships there. We will serve alongside a team in the El Pueblito cluster of communities outside Coban. This region is home to some of Guatemala's most vulnerable people who need health services, hope for their future, and the love of Jesus. Food for the Hungry works year-round with community leaders and local churches to meet these needs. We will come alongside them to help with projects in the surrounding villages. We want to show the people of Guatemala that God has not forgotten them, nor have we.

The great poverty in Guatemala weighs heavily on our hearts. We live a privileged life here in America and do not realize how fortunate we are. We feel a calling to help those less fortunate than us and to share our testimony. Jesus has given us joy and hope that we never knew before, and we look forward to sharing this with them in the hope that they can experience what we have.

We want to invite you to partner with us in a couple of ways to join our team in this ministry effort.
